Motivated Monday

as received by Deacon Stan Cor; shared with permission

We are motivated, pushed and pulled in many directions. What motivates us to draw near to God, to live lives pleasing to Him? What keeps us focused on Him? What is the perceived good, the goal that motivates us in the will and ways of God?
One of the main motivators is the love of God that we have experienced & that impels us to seek more of God, to know and love Him more. Gratitude for what He has done for us is another motivator to seek & live for Him.
‘And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer & perfecter of our faith. for the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, & sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him Who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary & lose heart. Heb. 12:1c-3)’
Jesus was motivated by the joy that lay ahead, the joy of fully doing the Father’s will, the joy of making it possible for us to be saved & restored to God, the joy of the Father’s ‘Well done, Son!’ These same joys are set before us. Let us meditate on them & be motivated by them. Let us be well motivated; the results & rewards are glorious!

Need more motivation? The press in to find God. Yes go to your mountain of prayer expecting God to reveal his transforming glory. Be prepared to hear Him & to have Him reveal His glory to you. In His glorious presence He will reveal His holiness, glory & will. You will be touched, transfigured & transformed by glory encounters.
One moment with God in His glory will utterly transform your life in wondrous ways. You will be motivated, set free & set on fire for Him & His purposes. Jesus said, ” Ask & it shall be given to you; seek & you will find; knock & the door shall be opened to you.” A word from James in his letter exhorts us to ask in faith, never doubting for the doubter cannot expect to receive.
Be motivated to press into God until He reveals Himself & gives you a transforming encounter with His glory. Ask seek knock. Receive, find, & have the door opened to you. Yes, and you will be even further motivated to pursue, serve and glorify God in your life.
