Thirsty for More Thursday

“As the hind thirsts for the running waters so my soul longs for You, O God. Athirst is my soul for God, the living God. When shall I go and see the face of God? (Psalm 42:1-3)”
Many people, perhaps most people, labour under a vague dissatisfaction, a thirst for more. They have made all kinds of attempts to find satisfaction: pleasures, rebellious independence, rigid religion. Still the hunger and thirst remains.
All along God has been calling, “Come to the waters & drink!” He speaks of the life-giving waters of right relationship & intimate friendship with Him. Jesus repeated that invitation in John 7:37-39.
Thirsty for more? Then come to Jesus and drink the life-giving waters of the Holy Spirit that alone can satisfy your thirstng soul. It will water your dryness & bring forth life worth living. He is the Source of life here & eternal life in the glories of heaven.

Yes, Lord, I am thirsty for You, more of You revealed to me, more of You manifested to me and thru me that You be glorified. I am thirsty for the out pouring of the Holy Spirit upon all flesh!
I am thirsty for the continuing conscious awareness of Your holy presence within me. I am thirsty for the signs and wonders You promised to be manifested to and thru all your people. It is time, Lord, it is time! It is time to cover all the earth with Your awesome glory that all be saved and come to know the truth; that Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth!
You give us living water to satisfy our hungry and thirsty hearts. The more we taste of You, the more we want and we thirst for even more of You revealed and manifested to us and thru us – more!!
Lord, pour out Your more upon us!

Lord, since we are thirsty for more of You, we acknowledge that You put that desire in our hearts and therefore that You will fulfill that desire. You will satisfy that desire by revealing and manifesting more of Yourself to us. Lord, we ask You to give us the more: more of You revealed to us, more of Your love poured into our hearts, more of Your holiness imputed to us, more of the Holy Spirit manifested to us & thru us, more resurrection power manifested thru us. Yes, Lord, more of You in our hearts and lives.
Father, we ask for and receive the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon us and pouring out of us profusely. We have asked and believe that You have given. We believe we receive in Jesus’ Name. Thank You Father. Amen!
